Aldi is bringing back its Beer Festival for the second year running with a 16-strong range of craft beers from British breweries.
2017’s range features beers from the likes of Butcombe, Box Steam, Robinsons, Hepworth, Oakham Ales and Wychwood breweries, which roll out across Aldi stores this Sunday (rsp: £1.29/500ml).
With the UK craft beer market worth over £100m [Nielsen 52 w/e 25 March 2017], the range would “revamp Aldi’s beer offering as well as present a route into the mass market for independent breweries” said the discounter.
Aldi had built on its existing relationships and had met a number of new brewers to develop the range, said joint MD of corporate buying Tony Baines.
“The craft beer market is going from strength to strength and at Aldi our aim is to be innovative, meeting the needs of our customers and attracting new shoppers into store by developing new ranges in line with key trends,” he added.
