Aldi is launching its biggest-ever range of vegan food for Veganuary, with prices starting from £1.49.
The discounter is landing a raft of new additions to its Plant Menu range from 30 December, catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The new lines include Kimchi Koftas (£1.99, 240g), claimed to contribute to good gut health, and Tempura Frickles (£1.99, 200g) – deep-fried pickled gherkin chips which are proving popular in restaurants and making waves on TikTok.
The new line-up also includes:
- Plant Menu Plant Based Egg (£2.49, 364g) – a liquid whole egg replacement, said to be suitable for scrambling, baking or making omelettes.
- Plant Menu meal kits (£2.99, £335g) – including Keema No Beef Meal Kit, BBQ No Pork Meal Kit and Pulled Hoisin No Duck Meal Kit.
- Plant Menu Gut Health No Chicken Smash Burgers (£1.99, 227g) – in Tex Mex and BBQ flavours, said to be suitable for pan frying, grilling or air frying.
- No Chicken & Black Pepper Sausages (£1.99, 240g)
- Salt & Pepper No Chicken Kebabs (£1.99, 270g)
- Plant Menu Slices (£1.49, 80g) including Peppered No Salami, No Pepperoni and No Chorizo.
The products are likely to be among swathes of other new vegan lines which traditionally hit supermarket shelves in time for January.
