Aldi has launched a reduced fat 100% British lamb mince ahead of the Christmas party season.
Aimed at consumers looking for a “lighter meat without compromising on taste”, Aldi’s 10% fat lamb mince will be available in stores as a special buy from 24 November while stocks last (rsp: 400g/£3.29).
Prepared from traditional cuts of lamb using only the leanest parts of the muscle, it has half the fat of standard supermarket lamb mince, Aldi claimed.
“At Aldi, we are proud to offer customers the finest quality products at everyday low prices. The introduction of the Reduced Fat British Lamb Mince continues this commitment, as well as our dedication to supporting UK farms through the sourcing of British produce,” said Tony Baines, joint MD of corporate buying at Aldi.
“Following the improved perceptions of lamb and through launching Aldi’s Reduced Fat Lamb Mince, we aim to offer our customers a healthy and delicious option using high quality, excellent value British meat.”
