Aldi is making ‘surprise bags’ of discounted food available earlier than usual this Easter.
The bags cost £3.30 and contain at least £10 worth of food approaching its sell by or use by date.
This Easter, customers will be able to reserve one of the bags using the Too Good To Go app up to five days in advance, as opposed to the usual 24 hours.
It means shoppers in England and Wales will be able to order one from Monday 14 April for collection on Saturday 19 April, ahead of stores closing for Easter Sunday.
“We know the Too Good To Go surprise bags are very popular with shoppers, and with stores set to close on Easter Sunday, we’re offering even more flexibility to reserve a bargain in advance,” said Aldi UK national sustainability director Luke Emery.
“We’re proud of our long-standing partnership with Too Good To Go as part of our commitment to encourage everyone to prevent food waste together. It also means our customers can save even more money when shopping at Aldi and prevent unsold food from going to waste.”
