Aldi has launched a range of gluten-free own label products in the UK for the first time.
Products are being trialled under the Has No brand as Special Buys at selected stores and include a range of ambient soups in flavours such as chicken and sage, tomato and red pepper and mushroom.
The range is also available in Aldi stores in Australia and America.
Aldi recently trademarked the Has No logo under sections covering ready meals, snacks, rice, pasta, muesli, grains, beer and lager.
It also looks set to extend its range of ready meals with a vegetarian line called Mae’s Kitchen, after trademarking a logo containing the line ‘Mae’s Kitchen - The meat Free Choice’. The brand is trademarked in categories relating to fresh and frozen ready meals containing vegetables, meat substitutes, nuts and pulses.
It also registered the brand name Med+Life under the category for plasters and bandages.
