Alf Turner's national listing is first for Hampshire butcher

Hampshire butcher brand Alf Turner has secured the first national listing for its Best of British pork sausage.

The sausages go on sale in 300 Sainsbury’s stores from next week in 400g packs at a special launch price of £2.00, with 2p from every pack donated to forces charity Help for Heroes.

Owner Paul Turner said the Alf Turner brand, which secured an £80,000 investment by Dragon’s Den star Peter Jones in 2012, was delivering “great sales” on all of its products, with the Dragon’s Egg scotch egg now on sale in almost 90 Sainsbury’s stores and 900 Co-op stores, while its recently launched pork scratchings were “under consideration by three major retailers”.
