Shoppers can pick up their Amazon packages from independent shops with PayPoint terminals for the first time.
The move sees Amazon Hub Counter, a new in-store click & collect service launched in May, extended initially to around 500 new stores ahead of a wider rollout to thousands.
They join branches of Next in offering the Amazon service.
Amazon customers receive an email notification with a unique barcode when their order arrives in store, and have 14 days to collect it.
PayPoint said it added more choice and convenience for online shoppers.
“Online shopping is only continuing to grow in popularity, and retailers who offer parcel collection can tap into that by introducing new customers to their stores and increasing sales,” said PayPoint CEO Patrick Headon.
Assunta Keenan, director of Amazon Hub in Europe, said the partnership with PayPoint enabled it to offer more choice and flexibility to its own customers while supporting small businesses around the country.
