AmazonFresh has expanded further outside London to serve customers in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
In its latest phase of its gradual rollout, the grocery service has taken on another 42 postcodes to include customers in Watford, Berkhamsted and Luton.
AmazonFresh will now deliver to 302 postcodes in London and the south east, up from 69 postcodes at the time of its launch a year ago.
Amazon has been gradually rolling out its grocery service over the past 12 months as it tests demand. The online giant will not reveal take-up numbers but says it has received “positive feedback” from customers.
The service, which is only available to Prime members, offers unlimited deliveries on orders over £40 for a cost of £6.99 a month.
As part of its focus on speed, AmazonFresh offers three same-day delivery slots: 2pm, 5pm and 8pm.
It also offers a choice of more than 180,000 items - the widest range of any online grocery service - 50,000 of which have been added over the past year.
“We value the great feedback from our customers over the past year, and it’s helping us to continually improve AmazonFresh as we bring the service to more and more Prime members across London and the south east,” said AmazonFresh international vice president Ajay Kavan.
“We have built on our momentum in the UK with the launch of AmazonFresh in Germany and Japan over the past couple of months and will keep working to expand selection, offer great value, and provide fast and convenient delivery options for all of our customers.”
