Cellar Door, the premium wine arm of Constellation Wines, has relaunched its Tintara range outside of the Hardys umbrella brand for the UK market.
Tintara is now a stand-alone Australian brand with terracotta-coloured packaging to reflect the red iron-stone soil of the area. The launch aims to capitalise on the 11% value growth of Australian wine in the UK off-trade, (ACNielsen, Dec 03-Dec 05), and includes a £400,000 marketing push designed to make Tintara the third largest premium Australian wine in the UK.
The portfolio consists of the Tintara Horseshoe range, which has been launched specifically for the UK off-trade with a retail price of £6.99. It includes a Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
There is also a super-
premium Tintara McLaren Vale Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, which is aimed at the independent specialist, priced at £11.99, along with ultra-premium Tintara Reserve Grenache and Shiraz, priced at £25.
