Automated parcel locker operator InPost Group has recruited a UK MD and commercial director.
Former DHL and Yodel director Andy Taylor has joined the company in the new role of MD for InPost UK.
In his role as director at DHL Domestic, Taylor was responsible for the development of its Home Delivery Lifestyle Courier solution before moving to Yodel as director of security.
He is joined by Michelle De Pasquale, who has been appointed commercial director. Pasquale joins with 25 years’ sector experience, most recently as a director for Parcelnet and Home Delivery Network.
“The UK is critical for the future commercial development of the InPost business,” De Pasquale said. The company hopes to double the number of lockers it has in the UK from 850 to 2,000 this year, he added.
InPost Group entered the UK in April 2013. It operates lockers in 17 markets, working with Carrefour and Tesco in Europe and Groupon and Samsung in the UK.
It recently signed an agreement with TFL to host lockers at three Tube stations and is in advanced discussions talks with a “major” UK retailer.
