A group of independent free-range egg producers from East Anglia has scored a regional contract to supply Tesco.

Anglia Free Range Eggs, which packs eggs from 15 farms, started supplying individual Tesco depots in January, but will now sell own-label eggs to the chain on a regional basis. Formed in 2010, the company recently invested in a £3.5m packing depot, and now plans to double production to 1.7 million a week by the end of 2012.
