Edible oil producer Anglia Oils has acquired Rowallan Creameries from Associated British Foods in a move bringing it into every sector of edible oils.
The deal the biggest in Hull based Anglia's history is expected to increase turnover from £170m per year to more than £200m.
Anglia supplies own label lines to UK retailers, as well as its own Borgia and Again and Again brands. It is a subsidiary of Danish fats and oils producer Aarhus Olie AS, which supplies manufacturers and focuses on speciality fats for confectionery.
Kilmarnock based Rowallan Creameries is known as a supplier of industrial margarines and bakery fats to food manufacturers.
