Butterkist and Sherbet Fountain maker Tangerine Confectionery today (13 June) named Anthony Francheterre as its new chief executive officer. He is taking up the role immediately.
His appointment follows the death of previous CEO Benoit Testard in February after a short illness.
Francheterre comes from United Biscuits, where he was MD of the European and North American regions. He spent almost 20 years with the company, joining in 1998, and taking charge of brands including BN and Delichoc as marketing director for the Northern European region, followed by MD roles across France and Northern Europe.
“I am thrilled to become chief executive at Tangerine,” he said. “As the leading independent UK manufacturer of sugar confectionery and branded popcorn, Tangerine has a very rich and proud heritage.”
“I am looking forward to working with the executive board and our whole staff to provide a strong platform for the growth of the business and the continued success of Tangerine’s brands.”
The supplier’s chairman, Steven Joseph, added: “I am confident that Anthony will be able to lead Tangerine through its next phase of growth and continue the exciting development of the Butterkist popcorn brand.”
