Morrisons has become the sixth major supermarket to stock Applewood’s vegan cheese range.
The range, made for Applewood by Heather Mills’ V Bites, is now available in 468 Morrisons stores across the country in both its block (rsp: £2.50/200g) and slice (rsp: £2.80/200g) formats.
“Morrisons’ decision to sell Applewood Vegan Block and Slices is the icing on the cake of what has been a really successful three years for Applewood,” said Ffion Davies, brand manager for Applewood and Applewood Vegan.
Applewood’s vegan cheese alternative launched in October 2019. The coconut-based product is fortified with B12 and calcium and has Applewood’s unique smoked flavouring. It is also free from Dairy, lactose, soya, gluten and palm oil.
Applewood Vegan is also available in Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado, and is now the second biggest vegan cheese alternative brand, according to the supplier.
Davies added: “2023 looks set to deliver more product innovation for Applewood Vegan so watch this space.”
