Snacks and drinks brand Appy Kids Co has ventured into milk with a range of cartons for the convenience sector.
The new lineup, which includes chocolate, strawberry and banana-flavoured semi-skimmed milks, as well as a whole milk variant (rsp: 99p/3x189ml), is due to hit c-store and wholesale shelves at the end of April.
It was the first dairy product launch by parent company Appy Food & Drinks, and the brand was already looking at branching into yoghurts for kids, said a spokeswoman.
“Toddlers and pre-school children have high nutrient requirements as they are growing rapidly and don’t stay still for very long. Doctors recommend an intake of 350ml milk for kids aged one to five,” said CEO and founder of Appy Food & Drinks Bobby Patel.
“We wanted to create a nutritious drink for our little customers to have on the go. Our flavoured milks are also schools-approved, therefore they are lunchbox-friendly.”
The Red Tractor-approved products, which feature Paw Patrol imagery on pack, are recommended for children aged two and above. They join the brand’s existing range of products including fruit juice drinks and raisins, which feature Minions, Peppa Pig and other animated characters on pack.
