Guinness UDV is spending a massive £8.5m on its Archers brand in the last two months of the year.
It has lined up a new TV ad, press advertising, price promotions, sampling exercises and free taxi rides for girls over the next seven weeks.
The new ad cost £1.7m to make and will run from November 16 to the end of December nationally on terrestrial TV and on satellite.
The Come Out To Play' ads are targeted at 18 to 34-year-old women and feature four men trying, and failing, to impress a girl as she orders an Archers and cranberry juice. This will be the first example of Archers advertising featuring both the established Schnapps brand and the new Aqua premium packaged spirit.
In future all the Archers ads will feature the two variants.
