Ardo UK has invested £75,000 in its Ashford site in Kent to offer bulk packing of frozen fruit & veg to suppliers.

Previously, the frozen produce specialist could only pack 200g to 2.5kg bags, primarily for retail. The new line enables it to pack 10kg and 15kg boxes for manufacturers requiring industrial quantities.

The investment will reduce road miles because larger packs no longer need to be packed by a third party before going to Ashford.
