Asda’s category director for core chilled business, Sarah Baldwin, has joined Arla Foods as vice president – marketing.
Baldwin will take charge of branded and own-label marketing strategy in the UK at the dairy co-operative, with responsibility across Arla’s key dairy categories – milk and cream, BSM and cheese, the company said.
Baldwin has 10 years’ experience in the dairy industry; prior to working at Asda, she held dairy brand and customer marketing roles within the industry.
“Sarah brings valuable category and retail experience to Arla. She has a wealth of experience about the co-operative, having worked closely with Arla’s marketing and commercial team during her time at Asda,” said Arla Foods UK CEO Peter Lauritzen.
Arla has jumped up the rankings to become the world’s seventh largest dairy company, it emerged this week, following a string of mergers and acquisitions. It merged with the UK’s Milk Link in 2012.
