Robert Wiseman Dairies has said that it is being sued by Arla Foods after the Office of Fair Trading provisionally ruled that Robert Wiseman and other milk suppliers might have breached price fixing rules in Scotland.
Arla is seeking damages of £15m from a number of dairy companies, including Robert Wiseman.
In a statement, Robert Wiseman said that it would “vigorously defend its position and confirms it will do likewise against what it considers to be a frivolous claim”.
