The Oxford, Swindon and Gloucester Co-op has announced the launch of revolutionary biometric payment technology, which will allow customers to pay for goods at the touch of a finger.
The innovative technology from Pay By Touch will enable customers to pay by means of a simple finger scan.
Shoppers will be able to use the service, being trialled for 16 weeks, after a quick and simple enrolment procedure and finger scan at special kiosks within three Co-op stores.
The technology creates a set of 40 data points based on unique heat sites on an individual’s finger and is said to be totally foolproof.
