Unilever has been rapped by the Advertising Standards Authority over a misleading health-related claim in an ad for Flora Pro-Activ.
The ASA said the claim that 'three out of four doctors would recommend Flora Pro-Activ mini drink' wrongly implied the doctors recommended the brand above other cholesterol-lowering mini drinks, whereas more than 50% of GPs surveyed had also said they'd recommend another drink.
However, a complaint that the 150 GPs surveyed was not representative of the voice of doctors was not upheld by the ASA. It said Unilever had made it clear to consumers about how many people had been questioned.
