Asda has put its marketing weight behind the off-trade launch of Bulmers' new single shot schnapps, Sidekick.
The brand has gone into all 241 stores and spirits marketing manager Mary McCarry said: "We are delighted with the consumer response. The average sales per store in the first week was 43 cases."
This has been helped by an instore incentive scheme worth up to £1,000 for the winning store's drinks team.
The brand is moving into full distribution across all the major multiples. In the take home market four packs of Sidekick retail at £2.79.
