Asda has evicted a network of clothing recyclers from its car parks following allegations that they were not registered charities.
The retailer's solicitors wrote to Planet Aid, a company linked to Danish organisation Humana People to People, asking it to remove all clothing bins in Asda car parks before last weekend.
Birgit Soe, head of Planet Aid in the UK said that the company was a not for profit organisation that aimed to raise funds for projects in Mozambique.
