Soft drinks remains strong this week and holds onto the top position in the category chart. Coca-Cola, Lilt and Robinsons support the category and all appear in the top 10 brands, with multibuy offers particularly prevalent.
Alcoholic drinks has received a boost this week and moves up one position to number two. The success of the category is somewhat due to the activity on Carlsberg which leaps to number one in the brand chart. Carlsberg focuses on price promotions and makes good use of floor stacks and gondola ends.
Walkers has also consolidated its position moving from number seven to number two and ensures the snacks category a chart position where it enters at number four.
Asda is the only fascia to remain stable this week retaining the number two spot. Tesco has jumped to the top spot, but less than 2% separates it from Asda.
