As predicted by The Grocer last week, Asda is launching the first-ever supermarket estate agency in the summer.
Homes@Supermarkets will be trialled in the north east initially, with a plan to roll it out nationally early next year under the brand Homes@Asda.
According to reports, Asda said this move could save the typical vendor £2,000.
Both Tesco and Sainsbury are expected to launch their own estate agent offer in the near future.
