Asda is offering penny-pinching lovers a Valentine’s Day treat with oysters from just 25p apiece.
Asda claims the fresh, live shellfish, sourced from Ireland, are the lowest priced oysters on the market.
Consumers can individually select their oysters from Asda fish counters, where they can also ask for advice on how to serve the tasty bivalves.
“We’re always looking for ways to help our customer live the life of luxury and hope our affordable oysters will leave some change in ours shoppers’ pockets this Valentine’s Day,” said Asda shellfish buyer Emma Alam.
