Asda has announced it will be sharing a £19m worth of an annual performance related bonus between staff.
The record payout is £4m more than the previous year, and the scheme was introduced in 2000 after Asda became part of Wal-Mart.
For the third year, staff outperforming their store targets will be pocketing up to 120% of their annual bonus, which is a payout of up to £360 for every full-time staff member in the stores that hit the ‘superbonus’ threshold.
“It’s the hard work and enthusiasm of our colleagues that has made the business a success this year,” said Caroline Massingham, Asda’s Retail People Director. “It’s great to be able to share the rewards with them.”
