Asda has fitted electric vehicle (EV) charging points at five of its London supermarkets as well as at its headquarters in Leeds.
The points are already up and running at Asda stores in Dagenham, Wembley, Colindale, Kingston upon Thames and Roehampton, and at Asda House.
“Our new charging points offer greater choice to customers in how they travel to store,” said Julian Walker-Palin, Asda head of corporate sustainability.
Last month, Sainsbury’s installed EV points at 11 stores to encourage customers to use electric vehicles.
