Asda has launched its ‘Supplier Development Academy’ concept in Northern Ireland after trials in Scotland boosted supplier sales.

Eleven local suppliers have teamed up with the Asda NI buying team for the four-month programme. Workshops cover product development, sales maximisation and marketing techniques to account management.

“This represents economic benefits for all involved,” said Asda NI buyer David Quigg.
