Asda’s biggest supercentre in Scotland has opened at Livingston as part of a £75m investment in its Scottish stores.
The Livingston supercentre includes a sports shop, DIY section, homewares and electrical department and a baby shop.
Asda’s retail md in Scotland, Tony Page, said: “Asda is going from strength to strength and is committed to growing its share of the Scottish market.
"Asda Wal-Mart opening in Scotland brings the very best of American retailing and prices to Scottish customers."
The supermarket operator said it would upgrade 17 of its stores its estate north of the border over the coming year.
