Landmark Wholesale has recruited a new business analyst and foodservice trading controller to its ranks.
The wholesale buying group has hired Asmat Hamid, a former analyst at Avon and Carlsberg, to join its Insight Data team.
In a newly-created role for Landmark, Hamid will work alongside the trading and business development teams to help turn members’ sales data into actionable insights.
Les Mohammed, who has joined as foodservice trading controller, previously held roles at 2 Sisters Food Group and Brakes. He will be responsible for driving growth through Landmark’s £1bn foodservice business and negotiating trading terms.
He will also work closely with foodservice members to drive sales.
“These two additional positions reflect our board and our group’s commitment to the continuing development of Landmark Wholesale,” said Landmark Wholesale managing director Martin Williams. “We are delighted to welcome both Asmat and Les into the central team.”
They are the latest in a string of appointments at Landmark. In December, Nabeel Ramzan, managing director of Landmark member United Wholesale Grocers, was named vice chairman of the buying group.
Last month, Williams was also named as the new chairman of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors.
He will take over from Guy Farrant, managing director of Booker Wholesale in April. Farrant has been FWD chairman for two years.
