Two rival Australian brands are looking to make their mark in sparkling wine with additions to their ranges.
Wyndham Estate is introducing a Sparkling Shiraz to its Bin 555 portfolio in a bid to claim sales of a style it believes is “starting to generate a cult following”. Priced at £7.99, it will go into Morrisons and Winerite.
And Lindemans is getting into the “under-exploited” Australian sparkling wine market with its Bin 25 Brut Cuvée. Southcorp said packaging for the wine, a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Chenin Blanc, would major on the Lindemans logo to create range unity. Safeway is stocking the wine, rsp: £6.99.
