0 Asda's Craven Way store provided all 33 items on our shopping list this week, but only just. A half-price offer on Pepsi had meant that this product was out of stock in the drinks aisle. Our shopper was lucky to stumble across some more being used as part of a promotional display in another part of the store.

tesco Hurst Road, West Molsey, Surrey
1 Two-litre bottles of Pepsi were out of stock at Tesco's Molsey store. Our mystery shopper was only able to collect 29 items in total as the store does not stock Birds Eye chicken dippers, own label peanut butter and Johnson's baby lotion in the sizes that are required by The Grocer 33 shopping list. Other sizes were available.

sainsbury Forrestside, South Belfast
4 Cathedral City Mature Cheddar, own label houmous, bread batons, and McCoy's classic variety packs were all out of stock at Sainsbury's Forrestside store. Our shopper also nearly went without Heinz tomato soup as staff directed him to the fresh soup aisle rather than the tinned goods section in which he finally found it.

morrisons Killingworth Centre, Newcastle
0 This Morrisons store at the Killingworth Centre in Newcastle does not stock loose oranges. After much searching our shopper was also told that the store also no longer sells Heinz tomato soup. He spotted money-off deals on Morrisons' own label houmous and quiche lorraine, and a bogof on two-litre bottles of Pepsi.
We visited on 21 July 2006 at 09.00. Our shop lasted 90 minutes. Time spent at the checkout was 13 minutes.
somerfield Ashley Road, Cheshire
0 There were no out of stocks to report at the Somerfield on Ashley Road which claimed this week's Top Store Award. The store does not stock McCain Homefries, Birds Eye chicken dippers, or Johnson's baby lotion. He took advantage of two deals, one on Kellogg's variety pack and another on quiche lorraine.

waitrose Ethel Road, Leicester
1 Our shopper picked up 32 items at Waitrose's Ethel Road store in Leicester as it had run out of stock of its own label quiche lorraine. Our mystery shopper only noticed one deal - on Fairy washing-up liquid - as she made her way around the store.
