Software company B2B.store has upgraded its WhatsApp communications platform for wholesalers.
The improved tool, called ProConnect, will replace its original B2B WhatsApp channel with a series of new functions.
These include enhanced analytics to track message performance, the ability to micro-segment customers, and an option to process in-app payments.
It also features a “slicker way” to authenticate phone numbers thanks to the built-in compliance standards, ensuring the personal contact information is protected by the “highest global data security measures”, the company said.
Among the new advancements, wholesalers will now have the opportunity to send dynamic content such as interactive forms, up-to-date stock notifications, event registration or live calendar updates within one WhatsApp message.
The launch of ProConnect builds on the success of its original comms channel B2B WhatsApp, which was one of the finalists in the technology Initiative of the Year category at the Grocer Gold Awards 2024.
“The release of ProConnect is major news for users because it’s a significant upgrade that will improve their experience and allow them to do even more with the enhanced features,” said B2B.store CEO Rob Mannion.
“The launch is particularly significant because we built the platform to meet ISO27001 standards, which means we’re ready to sign up businesses of all sizes, while our onboarding methods and policies mean all personal data is retained in the UK and helps to ensure businesses are GDPR compliant.
“ProConnect also provides a great basis for further upgrades and adaptations to come. With so much potential for businesses within the WhatsApp API, it provides us with the perfect springboard to develop more functions tailored specifically for B2B on our platform.”
Existing wholesalers using the WhatsApp channel include Bestway, Time Wholesale and Rayburn Trading, as well as buying group Sugro.
