Accolade Wines has unveiled two retro soft drink-inspired flavours for Babycham. The new varieties, Cherry Soda and Cream Soda, are the first brand extensions in the sparkling perry’s history. The 75cl popping cork-style bottles (rsp: £3.50) are available now exclusively in Asda.
“Since Babycham updated its packaging at the beginning of the year, we’ve seen renewed interest from retailers and consumers alike,” said marketing director Amy White. “Babycham has resonated with its core female audience from 1953, and the new flavours aim to expand its appeal to a new generation.” The brand has also updated its website with a selection of classic TV adverts available to view - including the UK’s first national TV ad for an alcoholic drink, from 1957.
