Bakkavor is launching a recruitment drive for its dedicated Marks & Spencer site Cucina Sano in Old Leake, Lincolnshire.
The own-label food manufacturer is looking for more than 86 new employees to join its 690-strong team following “increased demand” from customers. Vacancies are for a range of roles including production operatives, team leaders and “other skilled positions”.
The Cucina Sano facility produces a range of Italian and deli products for M&S. These include pasta-based meals, a wide range of antipasti such as olives, sun-dried tomatoes and anchovies, as well as gluten-free meals in the M&S Made Without range.
The recruitment drive is part of a broader Bakkavor growth initiative across the country. Last year the group employed an additional 1,000 people as it increased capacity, particularly in categories such as fresh meals, pizzas, salads and desserts. Bakkavor currently employs more than 16,000 people in the UK alone.
Ben Cooper, head of operations at Cucina Sano, said: “This is an exciting time for Cucina Sano as we create additional capacity to meet increased customer demand. We have a number of different roles on offer and we look forward to welcoming the new colleagues to our team.”
