Fred Barnes has stepped down as CEO of 3663 First For Foodservice owner Bidvest Europe, following a restructure by its South African parent company.
3663 and Bidvest’s other foodservice businesses across the globe now report into a new international foodservice division headed by Australian Bernard Berson, who was previously chief executive at Bidvest Asia-Pacific and South Africa. 3663’s wholesale and logistics arms will continue to be headed by respective MDs Alex Fisher and Andrew Selley.
Barnes will be a non-executive director on Bidvest’s main board and retain direct responsibility for Ontime Automotive in the UK, a Bidvest automotive industries company.
“Following several years of significant investment in infrastructure Fred leaves 3663 well-placed, offering customers a market-leading business proposition and enjoying considerable success from providing value propositions to caterers,” said Bidvest CEO Brian Joffe.
