British American Tobacco’s regional director for Western Europe, Mark Cobben, is stepping down in December to “pursue other interests outside BAT”.

Cobben has been at the tobacco giant for more than 19 years and was appointed to the management board in 2007 as regional director for the Americas before taking on the European role.

He will be replaced by Naresh Sethi, who is currently business development director, on 1 January.
