Baylis & Harding has launched a range of refillable handwashes.
Two fragrances – Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit and Jasmine & Apple Blossom – have rolled out in one-litre refill pouches and two-litre refill bottle formats.
The two-litre bottles – made from 100% recyclable HDPE – saved “at least 62% of plastic used in the production process” of the standard 500ml bottles and offered “great value for money”, said the brand.
They have rolled into Asda, Morrisons, Ocado, Boots and Amazon (rsp: £6.50).
The one-litre refill pouches, meanwhile, are fully recyclable through TerraCycle and use 80% less plastic than the standard bottles.
They have rolled into Tesco and Amazon (rsp: £3.25).
Both formats would allow consumers to “make conscious decisions without the often-associated price tag”, said Baylis & Harding.
Baylis & Harding head of marketing Katie Blythe said the team was “constantly evolving and listening to the needs of our loyal customers”.
“It’s a step-by-step journey but, together, we are nurturing our luxury brands to be more sustainable, with the future generation in mind.
“Our new range of refillable handwashes not only contributes to protecting the planet, but also provides great value for our customers,” Blythe added.
Baylis & Harding is the latest in a string of household brands to have recently launched refillable formats in a bid to brush up their sustainability credentials.
Original Source launched a line of shower gel refills and a reusable pump bottle into Tesco in June.
Nivea brought its EcoRefill range of hand soaps – comprising recyclable PET bottles and cleanser tablets which are used to make liquid soap – to market in November.
The Bluebeards Revenge, meanwhile, launched a refillable shaving range and a refillable roll-on deodorant range last year.
