Old Speckled Hen is getting a makeover to entice more drinkers to premium ale.
Cans of the ale now boast brighter colours and an updated
logo. The new-look label also now includes a sensible drinking message: ‘Please take as much care enjoying our beers as we do brewing them.’
Marketing director Sue Thomas-Taylor said: “We believe the distinctive style and wording reinforces Greene King’s view of social responsibility.”
Old Speckled Hen is one of Greene King’s flagship brands - it is the number one off-trade premium ale and has seen can volume rise 23%, with value up 25% (ACNielsen Scan Track 19/2/05, 12 weeks).
