Belvoir Fruit Farms has added a ‘without the hangover’ range to its adult soft drinks portfolio.
Rolling out this week, Belvoir’s new wine alternative line comprises three zero-alcohol drinks based on popular wine varietals - Chardonnay, Shiraz and a Rosé. The latter two are available exclusively with Tesco until March next year when the full range will be made available to other retailers (rsp: £2.99).
Developed to “emulate the texture and sensation of drinking wine”, the trio targets the one in five adults in the UK who are now teetotal (Office for National Statistics), said Belvoir MD Pev Manners.
In line with the rest of Belvoir’s adult soft drinks portfolio, the latest additions are made using all natural ingredients and contain no artificial additives, preservatives, colourings, sweeteners or added sugar.
“We have used our expertise in blending fruit juices to recreate the pleasures of consuming wine but minus the associated sore head,” said Manners, adding with more people adopting healthier lifestyles the demand for “drinks like these” would grow.
