Benecol is expanding its yoghurt drinks with two new fortified lines marketed as aiding bone health and heart function.

Benecol Plus Bone Health contains calcium and vitamin D, and Benecol Plus Heart Vitamin B1 contains vitamins B1, B6, B12, E and folic acid. Both contain Benecol’s cholesterol-lowering plant stanol ester. The “one-a-day” lines go into Morrisons and Waitrose from 25 November (rsp: £3.99 for a six-pack). Listings are in the pipeline with Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s for rollout from early next year.

The Bone Health and Heart Vitamin B1 products come in strawberry and multifruit respectively.
