Bestway is gearing up for a “significant” rollout of its partnership with online shopping platform Jisp.
The wholesaler said a trial across 28 company-owned stores, which began in November 2020, had resulted in an average increase in basket spend of 400%.
The trial covered its Bargain Booze, Best-one, Central Convenience and Costcutter stores. Bestway said the wider rollout would primarily be among its Bargain Booze and Wine Rack estate.
Bestway is also due to pilot Jisp’s augmented reality voucher system Scan & Save across 30 stores over various fascias before Christmas.
“We’re excited by the results of our initial pilot of the Jisp home shopping app,” said Bestway Wholesale MD Dawood Pervez.
“With an average basket uplift of 400%, this is recognised within the business as a significant tool for growth and convenience and provides retailers with a platform that is absolutely free to them and enhances customer service, driving opportunity and upsell.
“It’s our mission to lead the sector in digital progression and investing in features that add value and support in areas where it makes the greatest impact to our retailers. It’s all about making a real difference where it counts.”
