BFree has boosted its range with a duo of avocado and high protein wraps it claims are a UK market first.
The avocado wraps are made form a blend of avocado, chickpea flour, rice and pea proteins, and weigh in at 107 calories per serving.
The high protein wraps, meanwhile, contain chickpea flour, rice, and pea proteins and were “ideal for those looking to up their protein intake”, with 12g protein per wrap, said BFree.
The brand said they contained “the highest level of protein in any gluten-free wrap” compared with rivals on the market.
BFree global communications manager Jessica Powell said the NPD would “strengthen our offering within the free-from food sector and broaden consumer choice”.
BFree cited market research that suggested eight in 10 consumers would fork out more for a product with an additional claim, such as having “premium quality ingredients”.
Both wraps have a 90-day shelf life. The avocado wraps have rolled into Sainsbury’s and Tesco, while the high protein wraps have launched into Sainsbury’s and Morrisons (rsp: £3).
