BHS launched the first of two food store pilots today.
The 3,450 sq ft store in its Staines shop sells key basket items including fruit, veg, meat, frozen chips and sandwiches. It will be followed by a 3,200 sq ft store within the Warrington BHS next Thursday.
BHS owner Sir Philip Green said earlier this week his BHS Food venture would undercut the big-four supermarkets by up to 10% on price.
