Bibby Distribution has announced a major expansion of its warehouse facilities at Max Park, Corby, one of the UK’s biggest distribution centres.
The acquisition of a neighbouring 212,500 sq ft ambient warehouse has doubled capacity at the location, used by a variety of key food manufacturing and retail customers, including Morrisons, HiPP and Mizkan.
With links to the M1 and M6, it takes Bibby Distribution’s warehouse space to more than 2.2 million sq ft.
“Max Park has been the lynchpin of our operations in the East Midlands as we support ever-growing customer demand,” said Bibby Distribution corporate and strategy development director Nigel Tullett.
“The new warehouse facility means we now have significantly more capacity in our operational centre of gravity, and by sharing management resources across the Corby campus, we are ensuring the expansion is highly cost-effective.”
Tullett added: “By doubling our Corby warehousing provision, we are poised to grow strategically, providing customers with both operational flexibility and scalability.”
