A new powder-based bin deodoriser by household cleaning specialist Challs International could make smelly wheelie bins a thing of the past.
Bin Buddy (rsp: £4.99 per 450g pack) is an odour-neutralising powder that also has a natural insecticide to deter flies, wasps and ants.
Available in citrus and Berry Blast fragrances, it is packaged in a tub resembling a mini wheelie bin.
"We're creating a new category," said sales director Kieran MacSweeney. "With 51 million bins in the UK, it's a sizeable opportunity."
