Organic food supplier Biona has added a duo of quick-cook flavoured risottos and a trio of bakery products.
Billed as “a perfect choice” for consumers seeking “authentic Italian flavours”, Porcini Mushroom Risotto and Pumpkin Risotto are ready to eat in 15 minutes.
Each 210g pack serves two or three people, with an rsp of £3.69.
Biona has added Power Protein Bread (rsp: £3.99/375g), which contains sunflower & flaxseeds and provides 16g protein per slice.
It is joined by a duo of ready-to-bake products: Rustic Seeded Baguettes (rsp: £3.79/two) and Oat Topped Wholemeal Rolls (rsp: £3.79/four).
All three bakery products are high in fibre and made with sourdough.
The new lines will be available to retailers from November.
Biona added Super Seed Bread (rsp: £3.79/300g), a sliced bread made up of 30% seeds last month. This coincided with it snagging a Tesco listing for its sliced Rye Bread with Chia & Flax Seed (rsp: £2.89/500g).
Due to emerging evidence about the dangers of ultra-processed foods, “clean-label products” were “clearly on the rise”, said Biona brand manager Carmen Ferguson.
“These latest bakery launches align perfectly with this trend, offering simple, organic, minimally processed bread alternatives that still deliver on taste and texture,” she added.
