Birds Eye has expanded its plant-based Green Cuisine range with a new Breaded Fish-less Fillets line.
The new product is made of rice flakes to recreate the texture of flakey fish, and is coated in batter (rsp: £3/two fillets). It is suitable for vegans and described by Birds Eye as a source of protein and omega-3. The fillets contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
The new product is available in Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Ocado in the freezer aisles.
This launch joins the 12 items already available in the Green Cuisine range, which includes other fish-free items such as Battered Fillets and Fishless Fingers.
The range is designed to help Brits swap to plant-based versions of its classic dishes.
