The UK's biggest German wine brand Black Tower is eyeing 15% growth this year on the back of a revamp and a new premium range.
German wine-maker Reh Kendermann's bestselling Black Tower variant, Rivaner, has switched from an all-black, dimpled glass bottle to a half-black and half-clear bottle, created using black varnish. The range also features a more distinctive label and brand logo, while the bottles have been made 15% lighter with a screwtop format replacing synthetic corks.
The new Special Release range comprises single varietal Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir variants (rsp: £7.99) and will roll out at the end of next month to help meet the 15% growth target.
"Black Tower is exporting into more than 152 countries worldwide, but we want to grow in markets such as China, the US and Brazil," said Nikolaus Schritz, joint MD.
